I have played soccer my whole life, I played for the u-17 teams of San Luis and UNAM in Mexico. I decided to move to San Antonio for my senior year in high school looking to obtain a scholarship for college. I received about 30 scholarship offers, among which I chose the one offered by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. My dream is to be able to give the same opportunity that I had to any student and athlete who wants to go far. Studying in the United States makes you grow as a person and allows you to continue your academic and sports development.

Sports have always been a fundamental part of my life. I played high performance basketball for 12 years of my life and realized the truly positive impact it has on people’s lives. Thanks to basketball, I met incredible people and new places. I teamed up with people very different from me, made friends for life, and most importantly, it gave me opportunities that I never imagined I would have, both in the academic and professional fields. I received an athletic scholarship for high school and I was able to study the major of my dreams thanks to my university athletic scholarship as well.

I joined ProBecas because I want to inspire and help others to fulfill their dreams, through the sport they love.

Sports and education have been an important part of my development as a professional and as a person. I am an Industrial Engineer and I practiced Taekwondo for more than 20 years, I had the opportunity to compete at the highest level and be part of the Mexico Junior National Team. Thanks to my sport I got a scholarship in one of the best universities in Mexico, visited different countries around the world and fulfilled my dream of becoming an engineer. My mission at ProBecas is to help athletes and students in the search for better opportunities with the tools and technologies available, and of course, to accompany them in the process of achieving their goals and objectives.

I grew up playing tennis which I really enjoyed and was good at, but I never saw sports as something that could help me in life. It wasn’t until I moved to California to a boarding school to complete my high school studies that I really found a passion for sports. Studying in an American High school allowed me to see what sports truly have to offer, during my time in high school I was part of the football, soccer and track and field team for the school. Since then I’ve known for a fact that I was meant to follow a career in sports. After high school I continued my college studies in California, where I was majoring in kinesiology and was part of the University’s track and field team. Unfortunately due to injuries and other personal reasons I decided to move back to Mexico to major in sports management at one of the top universities in the country. Having experienced first hand what sports have to offer abroad, especially in the US, has made me want to show others and help them have the opportunity to experience it themselves.
